My name is Katie Davis and I am the ‘eye’ behind Kat’s Eye Photography! I have been photographing newborns, kids, and families since 2011 and have loved almost every minute of it!
My husband and I have been married since 2005 and have three beautiful children! We adopted our two daughters and our son was a surprise in the middle. I am a registered nurse and worked in the Kentucky Children’s Hospital in the NICU and PICU for almost seven years before hanging up my nursing hat to be home with my kids and work my business full time.

Photography runs in my blood. My great-grandfather, Charles A. Thomas, was a photographer in the 1950s for Centre College and Kentucky School for the Deaf. He passed his skill on to his daughter and his son-in-law (my grandparents), who then passed the family trait down to me. I didn’t fully appreciate the gift of photography until my husband and I welcomed our first daughter in 2010. It was then that I bought a camera and learned how to use it. I took a few photography workshops after that and the rest is history! I truly feel that God has blessed me with the gift of capturing memories for families and I aim to show His love through my business.
The name, Kat’s Eye Photography, was inspired by my great-grandfather. His initials were C.A.T. and people often referred to him as Cat. I had an epiphany one day that ‘Cat’s Eye’ would be a fun photography business name. I switched the first letter out for a K, for Katie, and “Kat’s Eye Photography” was born!
